We sincerely hope that our Membership is healthy and following all the guidelines provided by our Government Agencies to help to stay that way! We have missed you all, and now look forward to a partial re-opening in a safe and healthy manner. We plan to re-open on Monday, June the 1st under the new “NORMAL”. We are following the guidelines/restrictions of the local/state/federal governments and the CDC. We have been and continue to sanitize all surfaces of the Lodge. We will have hand sanitizer located throughout the lodge. All staff (employees and volunteers) will wear masks when “working”, gloves and/or frequent hand washing will be strictly adhered to. We will have staff sanitizing throughout the Lodge during all programs offered to our membership. We will be practicing social distancing both people-wise and table/seating-wise.
We ask that our members have patience with us through this re-opening and cooperate so that we can all remain healthy. As the CDC recommends, all should be wearing masks when out of our home environment for the protection of all of us
Our Lodge, as with restaurants, can open at 50% seating capacity. This also mandates no seating at the bar; however, bar service is available for walk-up or through your Servers during Wed/Fri dinner service. This means we are limited to 40 people dining at tables in the Lounge, with social distancing of tables 6’ apart. We are allowed up to 150 people dining in our Lodge room, again social distancing tables 6’ apart.

The House Committee has been busy and active during this Pandemic closure. We are required to perform many tasks, pandemic or not. Our first order of business was to provide a balanced budget for the 2020/2021 calendar year. This is always a challenge of every newly appointed House Committee. With this pandemic closure, lost revenues, and cancelled events it is even more so.
Without beating around the bush, after several iterations during the budgeting process it became clear we had to make some fiscal/financial changes to how we operate our “Club Business”. Beginning with our re-opening, we will now be adding sales tax to all beverage/food/event tickets purchased. Previously, the tax has been included in the sales price. Our Lodge cannot financially absorb this cost AND have a balanced budget.
In working with our food purveyors, as witnessed with our local grocers, product availability is limited/scarce, prices have increased, and we have had to get creative. We are introducing a new limited menu for Wednesday & Friday’s, based upon product availability. Pricing of these items have changed, in line with what the actual costs are. We are doing the best for our membership by being responsible for Your Lodge and funds as we plod through this “new normal”.
With the uncertainty of product availability from one week to next, maintaining a minimal inventory to limit our cost/exposure during this time, we will be posting to our website our weekly menus for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday until further notice.
Again, we look forward to welcoming our Members back to their Lodge and your patience and cooperation through this new normal way of operating is much appreciated. We are all Elks Members and your fellow members volunteering are giving their all to ensure a healthy, clean Lodge and activities for you all to take advantage of and rekindle your friendships with your Elks friends! We look forward to welcoming you back.
